You are allowed to have 2 primary professions and as many secondary professions as you want. Obviously with the ability to take advantage of two primary professions and an unlimited number of secondary professions it is wise to do some research before you choose your professions. Many new players find that they waste a lot of time leveling up their skill points just to discover they have chosen the wrong professions. As each profession goes from 1 to 450 in skill level points it stands to reason that leveling up a profession that is useless to your character is a bit if a waste of time. When you pick professions that suit your game style and the class of your avatar then you suddenly find yourself having a great advantage over other WoW players and being able to level up and power up your character much more quickly! World of Warcraft: Could be Free-to-Play in the Future?

The future for WoW players might just become that much sweeter with news from Blizzard’s very own Lead Designer - Tom Chilton that the MMORPG could present itself as a free-to-play title from it’s current subscription model …

…The future for WoW players might just become that much sweeter with news from Blizzard’s very own Lead Designer - Tom Chilton that the MMORPG could present itself as a free-to-play title from it’s current subscription model. Although no word on if and when this will happen, Chilton stated in a recent interview that he does see this as a possibility.
“At some point, it may not make sense for us to have a subscription fee,” he said. “If another game comes along and blows us away it may not make sense for us to have a subscription fee. Or even further down the line, when we have another MMO out.
“We’re not spending a lot of time thinking about it. It’s not something that’s a reality for us in the near future,” he added.
An interesting analogy of how many developers can adopt a free to play model to survive the competition within the industry was recently made by a gaming analyst….

So I tried to get into this game recently and here was my experience,

Start up with vanilla(no expansions) for 2 1/2 months, besides the occasional day where the servers are down, which did happen more that I would expect for $15 a month, the game was fun.

Then my account was hacked and I lost my two characters. I called blizzard and despite trying for 4 hours I could get a hold of anyone. The message kept saying that they were too busy try again later. So I emailed them and was basically told it was my fault for not buy a wow authenticator.

So to sum up to start playing and go a year it would cost $280(not counting the upcoming cataclysm expansion) for a video game. If your willing to fork over that kind of money you expect a certain level of customer service for the company and I got none. I will never buy from blizzard again. This was easily my worst gaming experience of my life….

In a recent announcement by Blizzard via the customer support forums, they will be taking actions against players misconduct of erotic role-playing, harassment and misbehavior on the Moon Guard server, most notable for its infamous Goldshire inn, a party house full of virtual flesh.
